Mini Djembes

Look at the newest product we have from Ghana. They just arrived today. These miniature djembes measure 9" tall by 7" diameter. They are real djembes and can be played. Great for small hands!

Drum Cases and Bags

Shorty is very excited with the drum cases and bags that we now sell. We have several types of bags. All are back pack style.

• The bags from the Ivory Coast are colorful and fit the Ivory Coast djembes like gloves. They are a good starter bag and you can get one free with the purchase of a regular sized Ivory Coast djembe.

• Kente cloth bags from Ghana have ties that snug the bag to the shape of the drum and come in 3 sizes. They are made of colorful African Kente cloth by the drum carvers mother. How cool is that?

• Shorty has been having some cases custom made in Pakistan. The solid black ones are good for regular djembes and can be substituted for the free case with a $10 up charge. There's also a small one that has a very narrow bottom making it good for ashikos. There is also a heavy duty bag that has red tops and bottoms containing hard plastic and padding. It is good for regular and large djembes.

• ENO Tempe bags are serious cases made by Eagles Nest Outfitters, people who specialize in backpacks.

Ivory Coast Shipment

On Thursday, November 18th, 2010 the Ivory Coast shipment will arrive at our driveway around noon. We do need volunteers to help unload. The shipment contains: djembes, lenke djembe shells, sets of djuns, krins, bougarabous (1/2 are already reserved), djembe and bougarabous shells, bells, whole cowhides and hairless goatskins. Ivory Coast Shipment

Yeah, It's almost here! The next shipment from the Ivory Coast. We are pretty sure that the boat is in the Charleston, SC harbor and soon to be off loaded. Soon we will have more djembes, djuns, and bougaraboos from Ivory Coast. The shipment also includes thick hairless goatskins and cowhides. We are very excited because along with the beautiful , rich Iroko wood shells we will also be getting some gorgeous Lenge (Lenke) shells. Percussion Instruments

We just updated the percussion pages. We have some new instruments small gongs, various rasps, maracas, energy chimes, wood blocks, cascas and more. Paralounge

Ghana

Djembe Drums & Skins just received a shipment from Ghana. We have small, medium and large djembes made of tweenaboa wood. These djembes are popular with drum circle facilitators because they are inexpensive, easy to move around and sound really, really good. Djun Djuns

Djembe Drums & Skins, Inc has djun djuns from Ivory Coast and Ghana! They are not on the website's shopping cart because Shorty likes to talk about them with the customer. Ivory Coast Shipment

Djembe Drums & Skins has a new shipment on the way from Abidijan, Cot D'Ivoire. As usual there are lots of djembes and goatskins in the container along with cowhides and several shells. Exciting events

All sorts of stuff is happening with Djembe Drums & Skins. Small, medium and large djembes from Ghana are at the airport waiting to be picked up.
